Ningbo Kangxin Prosthetics and Orthotics Center was established in 1996 and officially registered in 1999. It covers an area of over 2,000 square meters. Founded by Mr. Wang Yongcheng, the center is a legal entity under the jurisdiction of the Ningbo Civil Affairs Bureau. The center is designated by the Ningbo Labor Bureau as a certified provider of assistive devices for workers injured on the job. It is also an authorized fitting center for Ossur prosthetics from the United States and Ottobock prosthetics from the UK, and is a member of the China Prosthetics Association. The center is one of the earliest institutions in eastern Zhejiang Province to obtain qualification for the fabrication and fitting of prosthetic limbs.
