Originating from Germany, serving the world"Wellgo Weiguo"—this brand was founded by the long-established German company HAGO. Since its establishment in 1969, HAGO has leveraged its headquarters located in Munich, the industrial heart of Germany, to grow into a globally influential company specializing in specialty chemicals. Mr. Bernhard Frey, the founder of HAGO, with his keen market insight, conducted an in-depth study of Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou in China in 1993 and expressed great confidence in China’s future market prospects.
Based on this confidence, in 1994, HAGO set up an office at the German Center in Shanghai and began preparing for the establishment of a research and development and production base for Shanghai Weiguo (wholly-owned by Germany). In 1996, with the commissioning of an automated production line imported from Switzerland, China’s first polyurethane foam adhesive meeting German standards was born in Pudong, Shanghai. The launch of this product marked Weiguo’s introduction of a revolutionary solution—from rigid to flexible bonding—for China’s window and door sealing industry. The Weiguo brand inherits Germany’s craftsmanship and advanced technology, dedicating itself to providing comprehensive solutions for China’s construction and industrial manufacturing sectors. Its product line covers high-quality sealants and adhesives, including solutions for building waterproofing and sealing, energy-saving and low-carbon building doors and windows, lightweight and thermal management for lithium batteries, automotive sealing and bonding, and electronics and electrical appliances.
After half a century of relentless research and development, Weiguo has accumulated extensive experience in the fields of architectural and industrial adhesives and actively participated in the formulation of multiple national and local industry standards in China, demonstrating its leadership and professionalism in the industry.
Currently, Weiguo operates production bases covering over 70,000 square meters in Shanghai and Shandong, and has introduced advanced, fully automated European production lines. Building upon the legacy of German craftsmanship, Weiguo will continue to respond to market demands, innovate relentlessly, and strive to become an industry benchmark for China’s construction and industrial development, jointly creating a better living environment and contributing to China’s green, low-carbon initiatives and automotive industry.
