Shatian Laojiu Co., Ltd. is located in the heart of Shatian Town—a nationally renowned historical and cultural town—and is one of the 500 largest beverage manufacturing enterprises in China. It is also a key provincial and municipal enterprise as well as a national-level baijiu industrial enterprise.
The company has an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of beverage alcohol. It owns fixed assets worth 500 million yuan and occupies an area of 2,700 mu. Currently, it employs 1,800 people, including 309 technical personnel, 52 with intermediate or higher professional titles, 2 certified baijiu tasters, and 8 provincial-level baijiu tasters. Its products have obtained ISO9001:2000 international quality management system certification. Shatian Laojiu originated in the Xia Dynasty, flourished during the Han Dynasty, and reached its peak during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, passing down through the ages to this day. From “Yi Di’s invention of liquor and Du Kang” to “Liu Xiu’s credit at Sheqi,” it has accumulated a rich cultural heritage over the course of five thousand years of Chinese civilization. In terms of production technology, Shatian Laojiu has consistently combined ancient traditional methods with modern science and technology. It uses locally sourced premium sorghum and high-quality wheat as raw materials, ferments them in three-hundred-year-old earthen cellars, adds high-quality mineral water, scientifically reduces the alcohol content, and carefully crafts each batch. The resulting liquor boasts a full-bodied texture, crystal-clear appearance, rich aroma, mellow harmony, and pure, refreshing taste—achieving the distinctive characteristic of being strong yet not harsh, mild yet not weak. In particular, it contains no chemical flavorings; instead, it allows the natural flavors to shine through. After consumption, it does not cause headaches, irritate the throat, or leave one feeling thirsty, setting it apart in the fiercely competitive baijiu industry. Both domestic and international brewing experts have highly praised it, calling it “the finest among liquors” and “a superb brew from Central China.” Shatian Laojiu has been honored with titles such as “Provincial Excellent Product,” “National Excellent Product,” and “Consumer-Trustworthy Product.”
