In 2015, Tongxu began entering the LCD smart display multimedia industry. Today, the company has four subsidiaries nationwide: Shanghai Tongxu, Hefei Tongxu, Xiamen Xintongxu, and Chengdu Tongxu; overseas, it operates a Hong Kong office and a base in Vietnam. The company is soon to expand into the Southeast Asian and European markets.
Currently, the company’s business mainly covers three major areas: the production and processing of precision front-end processes for LCDs, the design and manufacturing of smart media equipment, and the operation of its own-brand smart terminal products. Tongxu boasts fully automated large-size LCD production equipment and a high-level hardware R&D team (specializing in optics, display, sensing, mechanics, etc.), enabling it to provide customized LCD media products for major media companies and end-users. Examples include: smart transportation systems and outdoor LCD displays, newsstands (outdoor media), indoor advertising machines (indoor media), educational all-in-one devices (for the education sector), specially shaped strip screens (used in subways, buses, and healthcare industries), smart photo frames (for the smart home sector), Android driver boards, and other related product lines. Moreover, the company’s software can be seamlessly integrated with customers’ internal management platforms and systems. Most of these key personnel come from senior research positions at high-tech companies such as University of Science and Technology of China, University of Science and Technology of China—Hefei, iFlytek, and Haier.
Tongxu Smart is located within the Hefei IoT Industrial Park. In 2017, it was recognized as a large-scale enterprise in Hefei City, and in 2022, it received the Anhui Province Big Data Enterprise Certificate. Currently, the company holds multiple invention patents, utility model patents, and software copyrights.
The company is strengthening cooperation with major universities to gain a competitive edge in the market. Within just a few years, Tongxu has become an industry supplier offering solutions across the entire spectrum—from underlying technology and application layers to comprehensive system integrations. Zhou Jianping, Director of the Revitalization Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Cao Yuanmeng, Deputy Director, each led their teams to visit the company for guidance and highly praised Tongxu’s innovative concepts in the design and development of smart products.Companies
