In 2013, Pan Shi Landscape Engineering Co., Ltd. was registered and established in Jinshan District, Shanghai, and began constructing its factory. In 2014, the company officially started production, with an annual output capacity of 9,000 tons of gel-enhancing agents, 5,000 tons of emulsifying agents, 6,500 tons of colorants, and 3,000 tons of surface protective coatings. In 2015, the company officially launched its involvement in sponge city construction, accumulating a total construction area of 6 million square meters per year. It features a porous, lightweight structure formed when coarse aggregate particles are coated with a thin layer of mortar and bonded together in a honeycomb-like pattern, allowing rainwater to seep into the ground and replenish groundwater resources.
